Frequently asked questions
Below, you can find answers to some of the questions we are most commonly asked regarding stays at our hotel. You can find information about check-in and check-out, as well as opening hours for all our facilities, among other things.

Rooms
- Check-in From 3:00 PM
- Check-out By 11:00 AM
- There is an option to purchase late check-out when booking your room online.
- Small dogs are allowed in our rooms. There is a supplement of 500 DKK, which includes extra cleaning after the stay, snacks, a dog bed, and food/water bowls that can be used during the stay.
- This needs to be pre-booked and can be done by contacting the reception.
- You can upgrade your room for an additional fee.

- Yes, we have some rooms that are wheelchair accessible.
- We also have a larger accessible restroom on each floor that can be used by everyone.
- It is a smoke-free hotel. Smoking is only allowed in our outdoor areas.
- There will be a supplement of DKK 3,000 / 400 EUR for smoking indoors.
- Yes, there is free Wi-Fi throughout the hotel.
- Wi-Fi code is “enjoyyourstay”
The hotel
- Yes, that’s possible.
- As an external guest, our breakfast buffet can be purchased for 180 DKK per adult and 95 DKK per child.
- Yes, you can Both our cocktail and coffee bar are open to external guests.
- It costs 300 DKK for 2 hours per board. SUP-board.
- We have 6 boards available for loan, complete with paddle, wetsuit, and life vests – it’s on a first-come, first-served basis.
- All sailing is at your own risk and takes place in the Eastern Harbor Basin. All guests are required to watch our introductory video before our SUP board is provided. The video can be watched here.
Payment
- We accept Dankort, Visa, Mastercard and American Express. Please note, there is a fee for some credit cards – however, not for Dankort.
- Pier 5 Hotel reserves the right to pre-authorize your credit/debit card prior to your arrival. If you book a non-refundable stay, we will charge your credit card at the time of booking.
- If you use a debit card for your booking, your bank will reserve the amount for 30 days. If you wish to release the funds before the 30 days are up after your stay, you need to contact the hotel directly with your reservation number, and the hotel will assist in releasing the funds. Pier 5 Hotel can inform your bank through DIBS to release the amount, but only your bank can remove the reservation of the amount. Debit cards include Visa Electron, Maestro or Mastercard Direct.

Transport
- There are 65 paid parking spaces at the hotel, costing 125 DKK per day. Payment is made at the payment terminal.
- You can also use the parking lot on an hourly basis for 14 DKK/hour between 08:00 and 20:00, and 8 DKK/hour between 20:00 and 08:00.
- If, unexpectedly, you cannot find a parking space at the hotel, there are four large parking garages nearby, so finding parking in the vicinity is not a problem. However, everything is paid in the city center.

- Additionally, there are several bus connections about 5 minutes away. away from the hotel.
- Yes you can. You can find our universal chargers in the parking lot in front of the main entrance. The price is 3.50 DKK per kWh.
- Additionally, there are ‘Clever’ charging stations in the Friis parking garage, located just on the other side of the hotel.
