COFFEE AT BÜHLMANNS

The Bühlmann family's coffee bar

A good cup of coffee is happiness – and that’s what we would provide our guests when they stay at Coffee at Bühlmanns. You’ll find the coffee bar in the lounge area, where you can choose from three different coffee beans. They all share the common trait of being high-quality, flavorful, and sustainable.

Among other options, you can look forward to various coffee beans from the popular brand Peter Larsen Kaffe, with whom we collaborate across all our hotels in the Bühlmann Family.

Try Bühlmanns Guatemala

In the Bühlmann Family, we have a coffee farmer in the family. Maria José Fernandez de Bühlmann and her father Pedro Lopez operate the coffee farm La Serrania, located in the highlands of Guatemala. Here, they harvest aromatic Arabica coffee beans, which are shipped across the Atlantic and subsequently roasted in Aalborg with the help of Bentax.

We call this coffee “Bühlmann’s Guatemala,” and it’s one of the three types of coffee you can experience at Coffee at Bühlmann’s. Below, you can see the full overview of the coffee beans.

MEXICO CHIPAS

A smooth and rounded coffee with notes of dark chocolate and a subtle hint of caramel.

The coffee is roasted using a blend of four different types of Arabica beans from the Chiapas region in Mexico.

Bühlmanns Guatemala

A coffee with a fresh taste and good sweetness, along with notes of fruit and spices.

The Arabica beans are grown on Maria Jóse Fernandez de Bühlmann’s and her father Pedro’s farm La Serrania in the highlands of Guatemala.

ORGANIC FAIRTRADE

A taste experience with a smooth, slightly acidic, and full-bodied aroma.

The coffee is roasted using Arabica beans from the Central American highlands.

We utilize the full value of the coffee

In the Bühlmann Family, we love coffee, and therefore, we would like to help harness the full potential of coffee. Today, when brewing a cup of coffee, less than 1% of the nutritional value of the coffee is utilized. We believe that can be done much better, which is why we have chosen to be a part of the Circular Coffee Community.

Together with CCC, we work to bring together farmers, companies, and consumers in a community with a focus on uncovering the full potential of the coffee plant and eliminating all unnecessary waste. Because we believe that small sustainable steps can make a huge difference in the long run.

Below you can read more about our sustainability policy.
