Continuing from the lounge and coffee bar, you’ll find the hotel’s shuffleboard – there’s room for a fun game with your fellow travelers.
Shuffleboard is both exciting and easy to learn. It’s quite similar to curling, with four blue and red stones per player. Players need to push the stones down the board towards the other end with the goal of getting them to rest within a marked scoring area – points are awarded based on accuracy.

All the cardio machines you’ll find in the room have been selected with a green mindset, as we’ve embraced a unique concept based on energy-generating cardio equipment. This means that the energy you expend on our machines generates new energy. In fact, 1 hour of training on our cardio machines has the potential to generate 180 kWh.
We’ve ensured to create a pleasant atmosphere in the room and aim to pamper you as our guest. This means that we set out fresh fruit every day and fill the refrigerator with cartons of water, so you can help yourself.
Stand-Up Paddleboard (SUP) rental
An amazing experience on Aalborg Harbor
At Pier 5 Hotel, you can rent stand-up paddleboards with paddles, wetsuits, and life vests. Outside of the peak season, we only rent out SUPs upon request with a minimum. 8 persons.
All sailing is at your own risk and takes place in the Eastern Harbor Basin. All guests are required to watch our introductory video before our SUP boards are provided. The video can be watched here.

When you book an overnight stay at Pier 5 Hotel, fixed check-in/check-out is always included in your stay This is a digital key system that allows you to check in without visiting the reception.
On the day of your arrival, you will receive a personal key code via SMS, which you need to enter on the door lock of your room. On the day of departure, you will receive a new SMS with a link that you can use to check out. Once you have approved any possible payment, you can check out online and be ready for departure. If you need assistance or prefer to check in conventionally, you’re always welcome to approach the reception.

When you stay at Pier 5 Hotel, there is always parking available for those arriving by car. We have 65 paid parking spaces in front of the hotel. If there are no more spaces available, there are four large parking garages nearby where you can also park for a fee.
